Rapid Testing Kits for Food Safety developed by the Centre- Food Technology and Forensics
Our Centre has developed a range of Rapid Testing Kits through extensive research and multiple validation trials. These kits are scientifically validated, field-tested, and have been successfully utilized in the market for the past four years. Developed Rapid Testing Kits: • Milk Adulteration Detection Kit • Heavy Metals Detection Kit (for food matrices) • Cyanide Detection Kit (for food samples) • Prohibited Dyes Detection Kit (e.g., Sudan dyes in spices) • Aflatoxin Detection Kit (in food grains and nuts) • Pesticide Residue Detection Kit (in fruits, vegetables, and cereals) These kits are part of the “Make in India” initiative, designed to provide low-cost, user friendly, and field-deployable solutions for rapid screening of contaminants in food products. We are also actively conducting ongoing trials for the development of agriculture, food, and soil testing kits, with the aim to enhance on-site analysis and support safe and sustainable farming practices.
